There can't be shadows without light.
Cyril Galanos lives an isolated life in a cabin in the woods. The monotony of his days is shattered when he finds a dying man with a collar collapsed near one of his hunting spots. Overwhelmed by an urge to help him, Cyril takes the man back to his cabin and saves his life. However, he soon learns that the life his Shadow led before him was a special kind of hell. Shadow's road to recovery will be rocky, but Cyril will do whatever it takes to help Shadow heal. Even if that means confronting his own troubled past.

Harper is a long-time writer turned whump enthusiast. She enjoys a variety of different types of whump and likes to not leave any genre unturned. She has a love for fantasy and combines intricate soft worldbuilding with hurt to create stories that explore the human and nonhuman condition. She also has a love for surrealism. Though a private person, Harper incorporates parts of her life in her stories to create pieces that she hopes are both comforting and difficult to read at times.
